SEN Teaching Assistant Milton Keynes

A large and well established special educational needs (SEN) school based in Milton Keynes urgently require a special educational needs teaching assistant (SENTA) full time. Experience is a bonus but is not essential as this school offers training opportunities and CPD courses. Previous
Education, Psychology, Art, Music, Sports or Horticulture graduates/trained professionals are desired but not essential
Previous experience with 5 - 11 years old in any professional or home environment Experience
with special educational needs is ideal but not essential - specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia, autism, Aspergers, challenging behaviour and physical disabilities Passion
for working with children and enjoys being part of their development Willing
to learn, adaptable and able to take on new challenges
This school based in Milton Keynes has state of the art facilities in sports, music, art and outdoor education and therefore is looking for staff who can bring out pupils true potential within these specific areas. Having said this they are also looking for staff that is good all-rounders in core subjects such as Literacy, Numeracy and Science at KS1/KS2 level.
This school offer a selection of training for their staff including Team-Teach, moving and handling, basic first aid and health and safety.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
