Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Kettering (must be able to drive)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £100 per day
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in the Kettering area. This is a full-time position, working five days a week, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a specialist unit.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Encourage social, emotional, and academic development
- Assist with personal care if required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within SEN units or with SEN pupils is essential
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to individual student needs
- Must be able to drive and commute to Kettering

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
