SEN Teaching Assistant

Join a small welcoming secondary school in Stockport seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis.

The successful candidte will work directly with the schools Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) to support students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) and additional needs. They will work on a 1:1 and small group basis supporting students with any academic, emotional and social needs. Successful candidates must be willing to work with students with a variety of needs including Autism, behavioural difficulties and attachment disorder.

Experience of working with young people with Special Educational and Additional Needs is desirable. We also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience such as Youth Work or Sports Coaching or graduates looking to pursue a career in teaching.
