SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are offering the successful candidate the chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children with SEN. The position is an SEN Teaching Assistant in the Stockport area. This would be working with children aged 11-18 years at a school that deals with a range of special needs, such as ASD physicial disabilities and language difficulties. The position is temporary but with the opportunity to become permanent if the school decides you would be a good fit.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Intervening when difficulties arise
• Assisting the execution of tailored lesson plans
• Reporting back on pupil progress to promote best practice

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• A keen interest in the wellbeing of SEN children (particularly SEMH)
• A confident and resilient personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
