1:1 Learning Support Assistant Opportunities – September 2020

Teaching Personnel is currently supporting the September recruitment plan of several SEN schools, alternative provisions and mainstream schools that incorporate a designated specialist provision for children with SEN including:

  • Two primary schools with resource bases for children with autism (Southwark and Lewisham)
  • Two secondary SEN schools for children with moderate learning difficulties (Bromley)
  • Three PRUs for children who have been excluded from mainstream education, or are on a managed move (Lambeth, Lewisham and Greenwich)
  • Two SEN schools for children with more severe, complex learning difficulties (Southwark and Bexley)

If you are looking for a position in education, supporting children with special educational needs, I would like to hear from you. The opportunities that we can offer range from day to day cover, to part time and full time regular positions. Whatever you are looking for, we will help you to find.

Ideally you will have some or all of the following training/skills:

  • Safeguarding/child protection
  • Autism awareness
  • Behaviour management/De-escalation/Team Teach/Approach
  • Multi-Sensory Impairment
  • PECs/Makaton/BSL
  • Providing personal care/moving and handling

We are currently living in uncertain times. Schools are offering a video call interview in the first instance, as they are unable to offer you a trial or visit to the school, and we can help you to fully prepare for this.

Teaching Personnel has been operating in education recruitment for 24 years and are well established. We will support you every step of the way from registering, to interviewing, to securing a role and beyond.

For further information, or to show your interest in registering for a learning support assistant position for September 2020, please start by applying and attaching your most recent CV.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
