SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP in Redhill, Surrey

We are recruiting teaching assistants for Primary schools in Redhill.  

The SEN unit supports children who find it harder to learn than most children of the same age. Because of this, the classes in the unit are very small and the amount of staff around to support is often more.

The school is committed to empower their pupils with self-confidence, developing their ability to respect others and themselves. They are looking for a teaching assistant who believes they can support them with this and much more.

The role of a Teaching assistant in SEN:

  • Providing 1:1 support and or general classroom support to students
  • Encouraging children's confidence, self esteem and independence
  • Supporting children in social activities and play
  • Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance
  • To be able to work between the hours of 8:30-3:30 term time only

The ideal candidates/desired skills and experience:

  • Great communication skills
  • Have a nurturing approach
  • Ability to build rapport with students
  • Engaging Personality
  • Experience with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
