Do you have experience working with Special Educational Needs and Behavioural needs? Are you looking for a full-time position in a local primary school as a teaching assistant from November?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a primary school in Rochdale(OL12) to aid their recruitment for a full-time teaching assistant. This position is to work with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and support an pupils with challenging behaviour on a full-time basis throughout their primary school journey.
Requirements for this SEN teaching assistant include:
- Previous classroom-based experience (paid or voluntary)
- Suitable qualifications (level 1 or above) as a TA or a related degree
- Knowledge of safeguarding and primary school procedures
- A caring personal nature to support a special needs child
- Full time availability to work in a specified role, initially on an agency basis
The Head teacher of this well-regarded school would like to interview and observe suitable teaching assistants as soon as possible for a start in November. The school is situated in the outskirts of Rochdale with good connecting transport links and offers secure onsite parking to all staff. The incoming teaching assistant will work directly with the SEN co-ordinator and external agencies to ensure the child has access to the curriculum and the opportunity to develop and progress with their peers. Previous experience within a classroom is a preference for the school, you will be fully supported and can possibly secure a permanent position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
