Teaching Personnel are currently seeking applicants to fill full timepositions at a mainstream primary school in LE2, ASAP. The school has an outstanding ethos which encourages the development of the young people attending, aiming to meet high expectations to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.
The school caters for all pupils with a variety of learning disabilities, all of whom have an allocated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) or require extra support. This position will require the support of pupils who may :
- Find it difficult to learn new skills
- Need support with daily activities
- Have difficulties with social skills
- Emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- A learning disability
- Poor long and short term memory
- Have little or no speech
Successful applicants will be confident and outgoing, as this position will be challenging but extremely rewarding. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant with SEN pupils. In addition, relevant qualifications and training which will useful for this role are:
- Team Teach
- Makaton
- First Aid
- PECS
