A school in Stalybridge are looking for a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to help support a number of children throughout the school. The 2 form entry school are great believed that children learn best when they are excited and actively engaged and are looking for a support assistant who will carry this forward in all that they do.

The school have excellent SEN provisions including their Oasis room, where children can be taught on a 1:1 basis or in small group interventions. The room offers the opportunity for these children to learn academic and social skills whilst also being involved in school life where possible. The SEN staff are looking for a team player who can help support them on this journey of tailored support for vulnerable children.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a Teaching assistant qualification or equivalent

• Have a DBS on the update service or be wiling to get one.

• Have experience working with children with additional needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH etc.)

• Have experience planning for and working on a 1:1 basis or in small group interventions

• Be a positive role model with the well-being of each child at the centre of their actions

• Be able to work alongside the SENCO and outside agencies where needed to ensure the children are receiving the correct tailored support.
