Teaching Assistant - SEN Support
Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in the Liverpool, Knowsley area who is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a pupil in Year 1 with autism and ADHD tendancies. The role is 5 days per week, Mon - Fri. Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm. This role is due to start ASAP for the right individual
The role would be supporting the pupil on a 1-1 basis. You would work with the pupil during lesson times and in 1-1 and group sessions. You will support the Year 1 class teacher and be responsible for prepping pupils work, ensuring the pupil is interacting with the lessons, provide feedback and assessments and support the pupil's wellbeing. Due to the pupil's needs, someone with a lively attitude and enthusiasm would work well with the child. Experience supporting children or adults with similar needs would be ideal but not essential.
The Role:
- Full time, Monday - Friday
- Hours approximately 8:30am - 3:30pm
- KS1 Teaching Assistant
- SEN Support
- £10 - £11 per hour
- Liverpool, Knowsley area
Responsibilities:
- Providing support within the classroom wherever required
- Delivering activities on one-to-one or small group basis
- Ensuring children are engaged
- Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs
- Helping with behaviour management of children
- Creating displays of children’s work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
