SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an SEN support assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a ASC Statemented pupil in An OFSTED rated ‘Good’ Primary school located in Wisbech.

The position is fulltime, working in the mornings only but has the opportunity of the hours being extended to full days. The school itself is a large, 3 form entry Mainstream Primary school, with multiple area’s that cater for 1:1 support sessions to be delivered in a calm and safe environment with the pupil.

What we need from you:

• Prior experience supporting ASC & SEN statemented pupils
• A ‘can do’ approach to any given situation or challenge
• The ability to offer 1:1 support
• Exceptional communication and behavioural management skills
• The ability to assess and track progress of the pupil

The role is set to last for a full term starting in April, but has every opportunity of being extended further. Your role will be vital in the learning development of this pupil, and it is through this 1:1 supporting position that you can help this pupil achieve goals and progress through their time in Primary education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
