Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated KS1 Part-Time Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early primary education and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for young children.

As part of our KS1 team, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging curriculum, nurturing our pupils’ social and academic development, and helping to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and inspired.

Position: KS1 Part-Time Class Teacher
Contract: Part-Time (days/hours negotiable)
Start Date: £120 - £150 per day
Location: Colne

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold the school’s values.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience teaching in KS1 (desirable but not essential for strong candidates).
  • A warm, positive approach and a commitment to child-centred learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
