Part-Time Year 6 Teacher – Fulwood Area, Preston
Start Date: Week Commencing 13th April | Fixed Term – 12 Months
3 Days Per Week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Fulwood area of Preston. This is a part-time position (three days per week), starting from the week commencing 13th April, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers the opportunity to job share alongside an experienced teacher, ensuring strong continuity and collaboration within the classroom.

The Role:

  • Teaching a Year 6 class across three days per week

  • Working collaboratively within a job-share arrangement

  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

  • Supporting pupils in preparation for SATs and transition to secondary school

  • Contributing positively to a welcoming and inclusive school environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

  • Be confident in supporting pupils through SATs preparation

  • Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
