Job Description

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Fulwood is seeking a committed Year 3 Class Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (2 days per week) starting 13th April 2026.

This role is ideal for a passionate Key Stage 2 teacher who enjoys supporting pupils as they transition into lower KS2. The school prides itself on its supportive staff team, positive relationships with families, and strong community ethos. There is potential for the role to be extended beyond the summer term.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour, and work collaboratively as part of a supportive Year 3 team to ensure continuity and high standards across the week.


Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 3 pupils

  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress in line with school policy

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs

  • Working closely with the parallel class teacher and support staff to ensure consistency across the week

  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers

  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Lower KS2)

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge learners

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Ability to work effectively within a part-time or job-share teaching arrangement
