Part-Time Year 1 Teacher – Fulwood Area, Preston
Start Date: Week Commencing 13th April | Fixed Term – 12 Months
3 Days Per Week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Fulwood area of Preston. This is a part-time position (three days per week), starting from the week commencing 13th April, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers the opportunity to job share alongside an experienced teacher, ensuring strong continuity, collaboration and consistency for pupils.

The Role:

• Teaching a Year 1 class across three days per week

• Working collaboratively within a job-share arrangement

• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

• Supporting pupils in developing early literacy, numeracy and phonics skills

• Creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of early phonics and early years transition

• Be organised, flexible and an excellent team player

• Be committed to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
