Primary School Teacher (KS1–KS2) – Chester

Start Date: Week commencing 16th March
Contract: Until Summer Holidays 2026

Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for your next rewarding opportunity? We’re recruiting for a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chester, seeking an enthusiastic teacher to cover a class from KS1–KS2 starting W/C 16th March and continuing through to the end of the academic year.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (year group placement dependent on experience and school need). This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team and make a meaningful impact in the lead-up to the summer term.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Contribute to wider school life and uphold school values

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with KS1 and/or KS2 pupils
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A proactive, positive, and flexible approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
