SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in Harrogate who are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their existing team. You will be required to work with learners with Autism Spectrum Conditions, and have an understanding of the low stimulus environment required to meet these needs. You will have previous experience of supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a specialist education or health care environment and you will be comfortable providing personal care. The school requires a high level of commitment and a passion to support those with additional learning needs. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SNTA) it will be your role to support learners both inside and outside the classroom with all aspects of learning and development. You will be a positive and passionate individual and be committed to supporting Outstanding Teaching and Learning.

You will be able to travel to Harrogate and the surrounding areas by car or public transport (the school is situated within walking distance of a local train station and is served by good transport links from Leeds and North Yorkshire).
