SEN teaching assistants needed for Greater Manchester Secondary Schools in September 2020.

SEN teaching assistants needed for the new academic year to support our partner Secondary schools throughout the boroughs of Manchester, Tameside, Stockport and Trafford. With the rise in students suffering with mental health and wellbeing this has been one of the most common requests we have had from schools this past academic year.

We are looking to recruit SEN teaching assistants who specialise in the areas of SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) behaviour and inclusion or working with students who have learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD or Dyslexia.

We have positions that are part time, full time, temporary or permanent dependant on the particular role the school are looking to recruit for. As an SEN teaching assistant you will be working within an SEN team of teaching assistants headed by a SENCO (Special Educational Need Co-ordinator) You will be provided with individualised learning plans for each student to ensure that they are progressing against targets and goals.

The role is highly rewarding providing opportunities to work with students on a small group and at times 1:1 basis where you can make a significant impact on their learning experience and education.

To be successful in the role of an SEN teaching assistant you will need to display a patient and empathetic personality, previous relevant experience in a work or educational capacity, suitable references and eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.
