**SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - OLDHAM**

**FULL TIME AND PART TIME HOURS AVAILABLE**

**PAID UP TO £325 WEEKLY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE**

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with our client school in Oldham, helping them to restructure their SEN department before the upcoming academic year. We are seeking additional SEN Teaching Assistants to join the department in September, capable of working with pupils with a wide range of additional needs. Due to this all applicants must have previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or have worked in similar capacity.

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is a very important and rewarding role where every day will offer you different challenges, due to this patience and dedication is a must. You will be required to support each pupil's individual needs and use your initiative to assist in their development, reporting back to the SENCO regularly and cooperating to develop and implement new strategies to help pupils reach the curriculum.

Our client school is one of the most improved schools in the country, and this can be seen by the increase of funding both for facilities and equipment throughout the school. This puts excellent provisions in place for teachers, support staff and pupils and encourages a positive working and teaching environment for all involved. The school is located a short distance from Hollinwood junction off the M60 ring road and is close to major public transport links to the city entre.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside the SEN department, supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, such as; Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or any other SEMH or behaviour difficulties.
  • Providing support for pupils both in and outside of the classroom, on a 1:1 and group basis, assisting them with any additional needs they have and helping them reach the curriculum.
  • Reporting back to the SEN Co-ordinator as well as pupils parents, discussing progress and next steps in strategically improving engagement within the classroom.
