SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant required for large Salford based Secondary school.

Are you experienced in the field of SEN and wish to utilise your skills and knowledge to support identified pupils in a mainstream Secondary school?

Are you seeking a full time support position, commencing in September that will provide you will invaluable experiences to enhance a future teacher training application?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in Salford. Due to an increase in pupils requiring additional support from September 2018, the school wish to expand their support department and appoint a full time SEN Teaching Assistant for the academic year 2018/2019.

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant required
  • September 2018 start, guaranteed for one full academic year
  • Working with identified pupils with EHCP's (needs include ASC, ADHD and SEMH)
  • Earn up to £1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable school based experience
  • Great location, accessible via the A580 (East Lancashire Road)

This SEN Teaching Assistant position will involve supporting identified pupils with daily school life, working with the SEN Co-Ordinator and Inclusion Manager to implement strategies to improve behaviour, monitor progress and promote inclusion of all pupils throughout school and to record any significant improvements in students with EHCP's.

**It is essential that the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant has previous experience working with young people with a range of needs, and has a strong understanding of how to support specific SEN within a school setting.**

Our partner Secondary school is larger than average with 1,200 pupils on roll at present. A large number of these students have EHCP's and therefore, require additional support during school hours. In order to facilitate this, the school have recently opened a Learning Resource Centre for pupils to access, with classrooms, individual learning spaces and Student Support Facilities.

Located in central Salford, our client Secondary school can easily be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the M602 Motorway. For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Eccles, Trafford and central Manchester.
