Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a specialist Teaching Assistant for a new school based in Chorley. The school is a small pupil referral unit which caters for children aged 9-14 with complex SEMH difficulties. The school’s ethos is based in nurture therapy and would like to help break down their barriers to learning.

The school is looking to recruit specialist SEN teaching assistants who are passionate about helping those which cannot thrive in mainstream schools. The successful candidate must be energetic and enthusiastic about learning and be attentive to each child’s individual needs.

Previous experience working with children with SEMH difficulties is desired but not essential.

Team Teach Qualification is preferred but not essential

This is a full time role 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday- Friday.

The pay for this role will be 10 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
