SEN Teaching Assistant

We are working with two large SEN schools in the Richmond area of London.

With schools returning this September we are looking to appoint experienced SEN teaching assistants based in Richmond or local to the borough who would be interested in working full-time with SEN children on a 1:1 basis.

You will be allocated to one school and will work regularly in this school supporting children in class and throughout the school.

We are looking for SEN teaching assistants who have experience of working in Special (SEN) schools, Alternative provisions and/or units or have an interest in working in education. Having experience also with personal care, moving and handling, therapy, PECS, TEACCH and Makaton is highly beneficial.  

The schools in Richmond provide for children in Primary, Secondary and Post-16 with special needs. However, the needs of the pupils in the school varies:

• School based in Twickenham - autism, speech and language, social and learning difficulties
• School based in Hampton – autism, severe learning difficulties, sensory needs, speech and language and social difficulties

You will need to be able to work from 08:30am until 4:00pm and have the flexibility working across age ranges, in return we can pay from GBP70 per day (depending on experience).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
