We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Yeovil, supporting pupils with additional learning needs to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, celebrating small victories and helping learners gain the confidence and skills needed to reach their full potential.
About the Opportunity
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them engage with learning, develop social skills and build independence.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning programmes
• Encouraging positive engagement and participation
• Supporting communication and interaction skills
• Promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience
• Helping pupils access the curriculum
• Recording progress and contributing to pupil reviews
• Maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For
• Previous experience working with children or young people
• SEN, care, youth work or support work experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient and encouraging nature
• A positive attitude towards inclusion
• The ability to remain calm and adaptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
