Teaching Assistant – SEN (Permanent, Full-Time, Immediate Start)

The Opportunity

This setting supports pupils aged 4 to 18 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, communication needs and behaviours that may challenge. Role & Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups with learning and development
• Assist in delivering tailored literacy, numeracy and life skills activities
• Promote engagement, independence and positive behaviour
• Provide personal care and physical support where required
• Help maintain a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and contribute to individual learning targets
• Support less experienced staff and contribute to a strong team culture

Working Hours & Contract

• Full-time, permanent role – employed directly by the school
• Immediate start available
• Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm
• Term-time role with ongoing professional development opportunities

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience (essential)
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
