Teaching Assistant – SEN (Permanent, Full-Time, Immediate Start)
The Opportunity

This setting supports pupils aged 4 to 18 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, communication needs and behaviours that may challenge. Role & Responsibilities
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups with learning and development
- Assist in delivering tailored literacy, numeracy and life skills activities
- Promote engagement, independence and positive behaviour
- Provide personal care and physical support where required
- Help maintain a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and contribute to individual learning targets
- Support less experienced staff and contribute to a strong team culture
Working Hours & Contract
- Full-time, permanent role – employed directly by the school
- Immediate start available
- Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm
- Term-time role with ongoing professional development opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 6 months childcare experience (essential)
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
