Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Placement

Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role within a specialist SEN school in Yeovil.

This setting supports pupils with SEMH, PRU, medical and mental health needs, working across multiple provisions within the school. Pupils range from KS1 to KS4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consistent support to pupils with complex needs

  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management

  • Assisting with learning activities and differentiated tasks

  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in SEN, SEMH or alternative provision (preferred)

  • Confident supporting challenging behaviour

  • Reliable, committed and able to build strong rapport

  • Looking for a rewarding, long-term opportunity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
