SEN Teaching Assistant – Yeovil

Full-Time Role | Ages 3–19 | Start September 2025 (Early Start Option Available)

A group of specialist schools in Yeovil are seeking committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated teams in September 2025, with the option to begin earlier depending on your availability.

These schools offer exceptional provision for children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and more complex learning difficulties.

Whether working with early years or secondary-age learners, you will be part of a school community that values respect, resilience, and positive relationships.

 

What the Role Involves

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students in both classroom and one-to-one settings, assisting with their academic progress, emotional development and behaviour management.

You will work closely with teaching staff and therapists to help deliver creative, engaging and adaptive learning experiences. Your role will be varied, meaningful and vital to the everyday success of each student you work with.

 

Role Details

This is a full-time position, running Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm.

The role is open to those interested in either primary or secondary settings. A start date of September 2025 is available, though earlier starts in both full-time or part-time capacities can be arranged.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
