SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time in Wilmslow
Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow. The role is set to begin in October and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on performance.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to access the curriculum and succeed academically. Your duties will include:
- Providing one-to-one support and guidance for students with learning difficulties, emotional, or physical needs.
- Assisting small groups of students during lessons to reinforce understanding and help them stay on track with the class.
- Working closely with class teachers to adapt lesson materials and resources to meet the individual learning needs of students.
- Helping to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and monitoring students' progress to ensure they are achieving their targets.
- Promoting positive behavior and supporting students in managing their social, emotional, and learning challenges.
- Collaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and external professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Providing extra help during exams and assessments by assisting with revision strategies and adapting exam techniques to suit individual needs.

Key Details:
- Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
