Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant in Wigan!

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join us as full-time Primary and Secondary Teaching Assistants across Wigan, with roles starting in April 2026.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students — particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) — helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you have previous SEN experience or a passion for supporting young people, this is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide focused 1:1 support and lead small group interventions
  • Assist with planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons
  • Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour

  • Are passionate about helping young people succeed, especially those with SEN
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Live in or can easily commute to Wigan and nearby areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
