Are you interested in working with young people with special educational needs? Do you have a caring and compassionate approach when working with others? Teacheing personnel are looking for a dedicated SEN TA looking for roles starting September 2021

About the role:

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • GBP10.20 per hour (weekly pay)
  • Supporting students with various special educational needs
  • 1-2-1 and small group work

Duties as SEN Teaching Assistant include:

  • Supporting the pupils throughout the school day
  • Assisting the pupil with the work set out by the teacher
  • Behaviour/learning support
  • Upholding the values of the school at all times
  • Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom
  • Maintaining high levels of health and safety over the pupils
  • Aiding the teacher with the day to day running of the class

The successful candidate must:

  • Positive outlook and enthusiastic
  • Previous experience working with or caring for SEND, SEMH and Autism
  • Flexible, resilient and willing to embrace new surroundings and situations
  • Confident working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Good communications skills with students and staff
