SEN Teaching Assistant

A school in South Manchester requires a SEN teaching Assistant to join the team on an initial temporary basis.

This role is open to Graduates (with SEN experience) as well as individuals with experience working with either children or adults.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, the role will primarily focus on providing extended 1:1 support to students with SEN. This will involve working across multiple subjects, setting goals for students as well as ensuring students are adhering to school policies.

The role will allow the applicant to gain invaluable experience, working with students who will often find the learning process difficult when it comes to approaching mainstream education. The role will also involve dealing with potentially challenging scenarios. The school are therefore looking for an approachable teaching assistant who can build strong bonds with students.

Regular training will be offered, and the position will enable the applicant to develop their knowledge within the field.

The school is located in South Manchester, not far from the city centre.

Pay for this position will vary in relation to the applicants previous career history. The hourly rate in this case will be between GBP10 and GBP15 per hour.
