A welcoming primary school in the Stretford area is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision on a full-time basis.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils of varying ages across the primary age range, working with children who have a diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils within a specialist provision tailored to meet a range of additional needs.
• Working with children across different primary age groups on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting pupils to access learning activities, develop social skills, and achieve their individual targets.
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and promoting positive engagement.
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and helping to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs is essential.
• Experience working within a school, specialist provision, alternative provision, or care setting is highly desirable.
• Calm, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children.
• Able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and build positive relationships.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing.
