SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEN department from September. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a background in SEN looking for a new role within a school.
About the role:
- Start- date: 1st September
- Full-time position
- Ongoing/long-term with opportunity for permanent contract with the school
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support individual pupils and small groups with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD and general learning challenges. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions, helping to ensure each child receives the support they need to thrive. You will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment at all times.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with young people (in any setting)
- Strong knowledge of SEN and experience working with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current teaching techniques and safeguarding legislation
- Enhanced child DBS registered on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
