SEN Support Assistant – Primary SEN School – Skelmersdale

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join a primary SEN school in Skelmersdale on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

The Role:

  • Providing tailored support to children with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assisting with personal care, ensuring pupils’ well-being and comfort throughout the school day.
  • Supporting learning activities in the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
  • Encouraging independence and social development in a nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a support or care role, either with children or adults.
  • Confidence in providing personal care (e.g., toileting, feeding, dressing assistance).
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
