A brand-new special education school in Salisbury is seeking dedicated a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their growing team. This is your chance to work in a supportive environment that values your skills and invests in your professional development!


About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 4–16 years with a range of needs, including:

  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Behavioural and learning difficulties

You’ll work closely with teachers and senior leaders to create a safe, nurturing classroom where every child can succeed. The school homes state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the needs of its pupils, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Patient, resilient, and compassionate individuals
  • Experience with SEN (in education or other settings)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Understanding of positive behaviour strategies
  • Confidence in managing challenging situations calmly

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
