SEN Teaching Assistant for Salford Primary School

Supporting a child with ADHD on a 1:1 basis

Various withdrawal and inclusion strategies required

Experience of working with ADHD and attention issues

A primary school in Salford, M5, are currently working with Teaching Personnel to support various children within the school who have additional SEN needs.

There is a particular child in Year 2 who has been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit) and needs the support of a teaching assistant on a full time basis. The child displays a number of challenging behaviours which can be related to their inability to communicate effectively and a short attention span. As an SEN teaching assistant, supporting the learning of a year 2 child is of paramount importance.

-              Working within a large key stage 1 department.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you would be expected to build effective communication and relationships with the pupil and with other children within the Year 2 class. Using strategies and techniques that work for the chid, supporting ADHD can be both challenging and rewarding, but this particular school provides a great environment to allow all children to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
