Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Central and west Cornwall
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £89.38 - £95.00 Per day

About The Role
We are looking for a devoted SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Middle to West Cornwall. This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them access learning and achieve their potential. You will work closely with teachers and the wider team to provide tailored support, promote positive behaviour, and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
What we’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or additional needs.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils and manage challenging behaviour calmly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, patient, and solution-focused approach.
- Desirable: Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEMH training) and experience in specialist or alternative provision.
