SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for a compassionate SEN teaching assistant for a specialist ASC school in Reading. We offer generous rates of pay as well as training programmes to ensure you are ready and confident.

The ideal candidate will possess an enthusiastic attitude alongside a passion for helping children who suffer from SEN of different forms and severities. Ideal career/educational backgrounds include Psychology, the Arts, Sport and Performing Arts.

The role itself includes:

• Supporting children in the classroom
• Engaging those who may struggle
• 1:1/Small group interventions
• Providing excellent personal care

The working hours are usually 8:30am-3:30pm, including breaktime duties. The school staff are tightknit and supportive, as well as able to provide various opportunities for professional development.

As an agency, we work with several schools and specialist provisions that are looking for learning mentors to support pupils. Ideally, you would have experience with working with young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
