Sen Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Penarth who are looking for an ALN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist base, supporting pupils with additional learning needs in a structured and inclusive environment.

The role

You'll work closely with experienced staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils to access learning, develop independence and feel confident in school.

You may be supporting with:

• 1:1 and small-group learning
• Communication and social development
• Sensory and emotional regulation
• Positive behaviour strategies
• Developing independence and life skills
• Adapting activities to individual needs

We're looking for someone who:

• Is patient, calm and consistent
• Can build positive relationships with children
• Has experience supporting ALN, or transferable experience from care, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or similar
• Is confident working as part of a specialist team
• Wants to make a genuine difference to pupils' school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
