  2. Vale of Glamorgan
Date posted : 14/09/26

£90 - 100 per day

Job description

Some children need a teaching assistant.

Others need someone who changes their whole experience of school.

We're looking for a compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a welcoming school in the Vale of Glamorgan.

This isn't a role where you'll simply sit beside a child and hand out worksheets.

You'll be helping pupils develop confidence, build relationships, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve milestones that others may have thought impossible.

Every day will bring new challenges, but also incredible rewards.

Whether you have experience in education, care, youth work, support work, psychology, or a similar field, we'd love to hear from people who genuinely want to make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing

✔ Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

✔ Working with learners with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs and other additional learning needs

✔ Helping pupils regulate emotions and develop positive strategies for learning

✔ Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment

✔ Celebrating every achievement, no matter how small

✔ Working alongside teachers, ALNCOs and specialist professionals

✔ Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

✅ Patient when others aren't

✅ Positive when challenges arise

✅ Calm under pressure

✅ A strong communicator and relationship builder

✅ Passionate about supporting children and young people

✅ Committed to helping every pupil reach their potential

Experience working with ALN, SEN, SEMH, support work, care, youth work or education is desirable, but attitude and enthusiasm are just as important.

Why This Role?

Because success isn't always measured in grades.

Sometimes success is:

• A child speaking in class for the first time.

• A pupil walking into school with confidence.

• A learner achieving something they didn't think they could do.

You'll be there for those moments.

And you'll never forget them.

What We Offer

⭐ Competitive daily pay

⭐ Weekly PAYE pay

⭐ Ongoing CPD and specialist ALN training

⭐ Dedicated consultant support

⭐ Opportunity for long-term and permanent positions

⭐ A genuinely rewarding career where no two days are the same

If you're someone who believes every child deserves the chance to succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
