SEN Teaching Assistant

A Partner Primary School in Newquay, Cornwall are looking to recruit for a September start. They are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience in supporting young people with additional needs. As a Teaching Assistant you would be required to support the pupils in the classroom, helping them concentrate on work and achieve their personal and academic targets. The teaching assistant role will be working with children that have various conditions that are aged between the years of 2-11. The school caters for a range of SEN. 

Desirable skills and qualifications that might help the Teaching Assistants be considered for the role:

- Previous Experience in a school

- Previous Experience in similar settings

- Autism Awareness

- Team-Teach Training or be willing to complete

The schools is located in a ideal location for individual’s who drive and parking can be provided.

The school also supports young children with a variety of needs, so you may come into contact with children with Severe Learning Difficulties and with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
