Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £13.75 to £15.38 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Term time only
Start Date: November 2025

Your role will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to students’ needs.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support that keeps children engaged and motivated.

  • Assisting with the delivery of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing with proven strategies.

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom.

  • Offering dignified support with personal care when needed.

  • Tracking progress and sharing valuable feedback with teachers and families.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (SEND or education setting desirable, but not essential).

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with ASC and SEMH.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
