SEN Teaching Assistant
Do you have experience working with children with lower level learning abilities?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Mainstream Primary School in the Wavertree area (L15), who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant, who can support a Special Educational Needs pupil in Year 1. The role would be working one to one with the Year 1 pupil, on a part time long term basis, at least until the end of this academic year. The role will be during each weekday morning, 5 days per week (8:30am - 12:00pm). The pupil has lower level learning abilities, and is working at more of a Reception level, so the ideal candidate will have the ability to adjust learning styles to suit the pupils learning needs and pace.
The role will be part time, and is set to begin in February prior to the half term; and will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2020. For the ideal candidate, a permanant contract could be offered by the school.
The role:
- Start date, February 2020
- Primary School
- Part time, fixed term contract
- Monday – Friday mornings
- Hours approximately, 8:30am – 12:00pm
- Wavertree, Liverpool Area
- Salary GBP9.50 - GBP10.50 per Hour
The school is easily accessible via public transport, and also has parking on site.
The ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
- Experienced working alongside children with special educational needs
- Experience working with individuals with lower level learning abilities
- Good command of written and spoken language
- Patient and supportive manner
