Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in an alternative provision in Cornwall.  We are looking for people who are looking for a full-time position, which will become permanent for the right individuals. Applicants will be required to be available 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and motivated to support the academic and social development of young people.  

These roles are a fantastic opportunity for care workers, youth workers, sports coaches, residential support workers and experienced individuals who are passionate about working with children. The positions would also suit Teaching Assistants who are looking to broaden their experience or are seeking a new challenge.

The roles we are recruiting for require educators to work with a student on a one-to-one basis, assisting and encouraging their learning and development. This will include supporting their academic performance, as well as participating in subjects including art, and outdoor activities.

Educators will be required to have a Child Workforce DBS on the update service prior to being place in a school, however, support with this can be offered during the registration process. Candidates applying should also have an understanding of policies including Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning, and Equal Opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
