An 'outstanding' school are looking for multiple Full-Time placements for qualified teaching assistants to work as a support assistant to work in their Year 4/5 Classroom and within Year 3 1:1. The school is situated in Haywards Heath and is looking for a full-time LSA to work with small groups, supporting the teacher, part time 1:1 with specific children and run interventions. The right candidate will be taken onto permanant contract. It is Mon to Friday, term time only. The school are looking to appoint someone asap so an enhanced child only DBS is essential.

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to the teacher in the Year 4/5 Classroom and within Year 3 1:1
  • Work with small groups of students
  • Support specific children on a 1:1 basis
  • Run interventions as required
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced child-only DBS clearance

Education:

Minimum of SEN Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

Previous experience working in a similar role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Experience working with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, PDA
  • Ability to work effectively with small groups and on a 1:1 basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training related to special educational needs

Working Conditions:

Monday to Friday, term time only

Full-Time hours

Working within a supportive school environment

Opportunity for permanent contract

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
