About the Role
We are recruiting a committed and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant in Gloucester to work with students aged 11–18 in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in Special Educational Needs, learning support, or care-based roles, and who wants to develop a career within education.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students with a range of needs access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This role is ideal for candidates with previous school, youth work, or care experience looking to move into an education setting.
Key Responsibilities

Provide personalised support to students with a variety of Special Educational Needs

Assist teachers in adapting lessons to ensure inclusive and accessible learning
-
Deliver effective one-to-one and small-group support across Key Stages 3–5
-
Build positive, trusting relationships with students aged 11–18
-
Support emotional regulation, communication development, and independence skills
-
Promote a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
-
Follow safeguarding policies and contribute to the wider school community
About You
