SEN Teaching Assistant

The Role
You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing the best support possible to students ranging in the ages 4-19 years old, with various Special Educational Needs such as:
- Severe Learning Difficulty (SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty (PMLD)
- Moderate Learning Difficulty (MLD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
- Sensory or Physical Difficulties
This specialist school has incredible facilities to aid the learning and development of all its pupils, including Hydrotherapy rooms, Sensory rooms, and Soft Play rooms.
Each student receives a personalised curriculum which is created through real life, meaningful teaching and learning. All staff have a deep understanding of each pupils needs and can alter teaching and experiences to enable the best learning experience possible.
Who We Are Looking For
- SEN(D) and SEMH experience
- A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
Working Hours/Benefits

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
