We are seeking compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a selection of outstanding specialist schools in Frome.

These nurturing settings support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, social communication challenges, sensory processing difficulties, and emotional and behavioural barriers.

Each school provides a safe, therapeutic learning environment where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve personal growth.

You will join a team that prioritises care, creativity, and consistency—where pupils thrive with tailored support and innovative teaching approaches.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils aged 3–19 in primary and secondary classrooms

• Assisting with daily routines, personal development, and learning objectives

• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual needs

• Promoting a calm, positive learning environment

• Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver inclusive education

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in SEN, care, or a similar support role 

• A nurturing, patient and adaptable personality

• Ability to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and consistency

• A proactive attitude and team-player mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
