SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Autism Provision
Effingham, Surrey | Full-Time | Term-Time

Are you experienced in supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are looking for a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school environment supporting pupils with autism, communication needs and associated challenges for an immediate or September sa=tar.

In this role, you will provide practical and emotional support throughout the school day, helping students access learning, develop independence and build positive relationships. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to support individual learning plans, manage behaviours positively and create a calm, engaging classroom environment.

The role includes:
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with emotional regulation and social development
• Encouraging communication and participation in lessons
• Helping maintain a structured and supportive learning environment
• Supporting pupils during transitions, activities and interventions

Previous SEN experience or experience within a specialist education, care or support setting is essential. You should be patient, proactive and able to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
