Location: Chesterfield and surrounding area

Job type: Full Time, Part time, Flexible

Salary: £80 - 100 per day

Teaching Personnel are working alongside many mainstream provisions in and around the Chesterfield area with the need of a Teaching Assistant to support SEN children within a mainstream setting. This could include a specific SEN provision within the school or supporting children in small groups or on a 1 to 1 basis.

These schools are looking to employ strong minded individuals who are confident with behaviour management, who are willing to have a flexible outlook in their approach to support children's EHC plans, to try and push them to their personal best as well as building a trusted relationship.

The pay is negotiable but for the right candidate.

  • Positive behavioural management
  • Adopting a tailored approach to the individual child
  • Establish warm, caring and supportive relationships.
  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development.
  • Supporting the class teacher and contributing to providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An individual who is patient in dealing with trying circumstances or emotional behaviour
  • Accepting of other's lifestyles and understanding of SEND
  • Remaining calm in stressful situations
  • Flexibility dealing with behaviour that may present challenges.

Additional training will be offered to the right candidates.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
