An ‘outstanding’ school near Cambridge, are looking to appoint for a 1:1 support assistant to work on a full-time basis supporting a KS2 pupil with SEMH. The role is challenging, but highly rewarding to those who are good at establishing and building rapport with pupils.
As a 1:1 Behavioural Support Assistant, your role will include the following:
- Motivate and engage the pupils
- Encourage and aid development of pupils while consistently reporting feedback to leading members of staff.
- Work alongside key school staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve levels of attendance and behaviour of the pupils; all of which could be possible through your dedication and commitment to the role
- Ensure that tasks are carried out professionally, but also in a fun and rewarding manner.
If you have:
- Prior Teaching Assistant Experience
- Completed training courses relevant to a career in education such as: Prevent Training, Safeguarding, Child Protection
- NVQ Level 3 – Relevant to working within schools
- Experience offering 1:1 support to SEN pupils with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
